Private Mortgages Vice President, Colin Brenneis oversees the business unit’s daily operational requirements, including underwriting and loan administration. Throughout his finance and real estate career, he has underwritten more than $6.0 billion in mortgages and funded more than $1.2 billion in loans. Colin led the private mortgage division to more than triple the portfolio in a few short years.
Colin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with Distinction) from the University of Alberta and is a recipient of the Dzurko National Honor Roll award from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He holds designations as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and CFA® Charterholder. In addition to his expertise at KV Capital, Colin gives back to his community serving as Vice Chair of the Board for HomeEd, the City of Edmonton’s non-profit housing corporation, and as Chair of HomeEd’s Property Acquisition and Development Committee.
