KV Capital’s CEO and Co-Founder, Aleem Virani, values respect and transparency at the core of every individual and business. As an extension of these beliefs, KV has been built around a commitment to assisting clients only where the firm can add value, and doing so in the most efficient way possible.
Aleem is a longstanding professional within the financial services community. Prior to founding KV Capital in 2006, his career started at Deloitte as a member of the audit team, before expanding his expertise in M&A and valuations at KRP LLP. From there, he served as a controller at The Brick Warehouse Corporation in its financial services division, specializing in warranty and insurance.
His ambition extends to community-focused initiatives as well, demonstrated by his involvement in numerous volunteer roles. Though he finds each giveback opportunity rewarding, Aleem is most proud to have been involved in the opening of the Aga Khan Garden at the University of Alberta’s botanical research centre and to have held the position of the regional lead for a 20,000-person Edmonton Ismaili celebration in 2018.
Aleem’s professional achievements include the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) certifications, as well as the Institute of Corporate Directors’ ICD.D designation. A recipient of the 2014 MNP Leaders of Tomorrow Award, Aleem also serves as a board member of the University of Alberta Properties Trust.
