Marc Prefontaine’s 24 years of full-cycle experience across Canada’s mortgage banking and brokerage industries form the cornerstone of his position as KV Capital’s Commercial Real Estate Finance President. His expertise includes boots-on-the-ground experience underwriting, originating, and servicing loans, including compliance and risk management. He has structured deals in aggregate excess of $4 billion that include varied structures and types such as pari-passu loans, A/B loans, club deals, and structured financing.
In his role as president, Marc’s areas of excellence include comprehensive oversight and management of the commercial real estate financing group to offer clients customized financing solutions.
Marc’s drive is fueled by his passion for real estate and specifically city building–he takes pride in watching our great cities in Alberta grow and progress. Marc hopes to inspire the same passion in Canada’s youth as he serves as a board member for the University of Alberta’s Centre for Cities and Communities to educate students about the many opportunities available in the real estate and construction industries.
